It’s impossible for one person to know everything when developing a company strategy – not even a Strategy Officer!  From senior management to external consultancies, asking other people for their opinions and data can often bring amazing insights and turn a good strategy into an excellent one.  But managed badly idea and information gathering can create analysis paralysis and disillusionment even before the strategy process has started. Max Baldwin will discuss the challenges that face a Strategy Officer when asking for and using inputs from others and will put forward some experiences and basic techniques to be considered.
