Dr. Rouven Bergmann is the chief financial officer (CFO) for SAP North America. In this role he is responsible for overseeing all the financial activities of Canada and the United States, including forecasting and planning, driving efficiencies and ensuring the overall financial health of the region. Immediately prior to his North America CFO post, Rouven served as chief operating officer (COO) for the global R&D organization. Reporting to the executive board member responsible for global Products & Innovation, he was responsible for development operations and process, release management, as well as portfolio planning and investment management.
Since joining SAP in 2005, Rouven has held a variety of leadership positions, including chief controlling officer for the Products & Innovation board area, and the BusinessObjects division, as well as CFO for SAP India. He started
his SAP career at the corporate level where he was responsible for the financial planning and consolidation of SAPAG.
Prior to SAP, Rouven gained extensive management consultant experience advising clients in the areas of corporate finance and strategy. Rouven holds master degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration from Technical University of Kaiserslautern, in Kaiserslautern, Germany. As well, he earned his MBA and PhD in economics and finance from Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich in Germany.
