The Role Of A Strategy Officer: Opportunities And Challenges

Usually not very well defined in scope and responsibilities, highly dependent on senior sponsorship and hostage to personalities and agendas, the role is not for the faint hearted.  Yet, done properly, it could be one of the most exciting roles in an organisation, offers the chance to make an impact and a great launching pad for a senior career.  I will share from my experiences and hopefully leave the audience with a few tips to chart their personal journey.

Jatin has over 15 years experience in strategy and corporate development in multiple markets both as an advisor and as a principal.  He has executed a number of strategic projects across Americas, UK and Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific. His current focus is to lead the formulation and implementation of Deutsche Bank’s strategy in the Asia Pacific region, including the execution of corporate M&A transactions. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he has worked with Marakon Associates, a top tier strategy consulting firm and with Arthur Andersen.
