You will hear how Mueller used IBM Cognos and leveraged its big data to increase revenue, increased planning and forecast accuracy, and instituted a predictive analytics model to drive performance across the organization. This session will focus on Mueller's analytics journey with IBM's business analytics softwares, what factors contributed to its success, what the future holds for this dynamic system, and the lessons learned along the way.

Mark Lack manages the Business Intelligence (BI) and Balanced Scorecard processes at Mueller, Inc., a manufacturer and retailer of steel building products in the South Central United States. Mueller's BI processes include planning, forecasting, management reporting and strategy management using Kaplan and Norton's Balanced Scorecard. His mission at Mueller is to support performance management using BI, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy. His execution of the Balanced Scorecard earned Mueller induction into Kaplan and Norton's Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame in 2007.
