Go Global: How Unilever is Helping Starts-Ups to Scale-Up
Andy joined Unilever Ventures to invest in strategically-relevant digital ventures and to create partnership opportunities with Unilever’s brands and business units. He will focus his presentation on a flagship program called Go Global, which matches Unilever brands with digital ventures, which are poised for global expansion. Launched in late 2013, Go Global provides $100,000 to each selected ventures, along with mentorship and other in-kind services, in exchange for a customized pilot. Andy will explain how his team designed the Go Global program for speed, agility, and flexibility to align with pace and style of entrepreneurs.

Andy Donner is a Director with Unilever Ventures. Andy leads the firm’s Digital practice in North America which focuses on investments in ad-tech, digital marketing, digital media, and eCommerce. He has 15 years of investment and management experience in the information technology and consumer products industries. Prior to joining Unilever Ventures, Andy was a founding partner at Physic Ventures where he led the firm’s Connected Health investment practice which includes digital media, telemedicine, health e-games, and technology-enabled wellness programs. Andy currently serves on the boards of Percolate, Rayne Water, WaterSmart Software, and Yummly.
