Welcome to the first issue of Sports Performance & Tech- nology of 2014.
We hope to build on the great momentum that we have seen in the past 8 months since the magazine was first launched. We are aiming to make it even bigger and better in the next 12 months.
We are certainly kicking off 2014 with a bang and we have some great articles in this edition.
Damien Saunder shows us some of the work he is doing on player movement around a tennis court. This story fol- lows on from his two popular articles on player movement in tennis last year.
As we are finding more ana- lytics appearing in sports, Sam Strickling demonstrates how he is using people’s passion for sport to help teach them new engineering techniques and improve the uptake in en- gineering programmes.
We also look at the ways in which Tribe Sport are revolu- tionising sports apparel de- sign and sales to consumers using social networks to make collaborative decisions.
Our team of reviewers take a look at the Jawbone UP, Adi-
das Smart Run, the best base layer for the cold sea- sons and the Monster iS- port headphones to keep you updated on the latest in sports technologies cur- rently hitting the market.
And finally we make our pre- dictions about what to ex- pect in sports performance and technology in the next 12 months.
As always, if you like the magazine, please share it.
