As companies become ever more reliant on data for direction, the talent pool is having to constantly adapt to new technologies and alter their roles to suit developments, and the banking industry is no exception. We sat down with Rohit Agarwal, Head of Digital Product Management at HSBC, to talk all things digital, from personalization to how banks can best exploit the shift to mobile.

As HSBC’s Global Head of Digital Product Management - RBWM (Retail Banking and Wealth Management), Rohit and his team are responsible for conceiving, building and managing world class consumer solutions for HSBC’s 50+ million, and growing, customers. Key areas of focus and interest include; secure access, mobile banking, purchase journeys, social recommendation / discovery and payments. A sample of recent success includes new global core banking services in Argentina and the Philippines, Touch ID for First Direct and HSBC brands in the UK, multi-trip insurance purchasing journey in Hong Kong, personal loans purchasing journey on mobile in the UK, and Apple Pay in the UK and US. Prior to joining HSBC, Rohit was at AOL for 6 years where his last role was, Vice President & General Manager of AOL Media, Europe.
