Netsai Mangwende has been the Head of Finance Business Partnering for UK and Europe at AIG for under a year, having previously been the UK Finance Director at the bank. Netsai is a trailblazer for Diversity & Inclusion and is known for nurturing and inspiring emerging leaders, and we sat down with her following her presentation at the FP&A Innovation Summit in London this April. We talked all things finance, from the responsibility of corporations to encourage women to pursue STEM jobs to that of education in changing perceptions of typically and damagingly gendered roles.

Netsai Mangwende is the Head of Finance Business Partnering for UK and AIG Europe Limited. An experienced finance professional, she has 11 years’ experience in the London Insurance Market. She has strong commercial acumen and an in-depth understanding of the critical success factors that formulate business strategies and drive performance. Her insight has informed the development of new tools and ideas transforming Finance from a support function to one that genuinely leads the Business. Netsai is a Chartered Accountant with broad experience spanning across strategic business partnering, financial planning & analysis, audit & advisory, financial control and accounting. Prior to joining AIG Netsai worked for Royal & Sun Alliance, Deloitte & Touché and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, in the UK, Bermuda and Africa.
