How Important Are Data And Analytics To L'Occitane En Provence?

Turning 40 this year, L'Occitane en Provence is a luxury brand that produces and retails fragrances, soaps, creams and home products. With a revenue of over €1 billion, and employing over 7000 people, the company have managed their transformation to digital well, offering click & collect services, free delivery and omni-channel social media manifestations. We spoke to Will Burns - when he was global head of digital strategy and head of digital operations at the company - about the difficulties in getting an entire team up to speed with digital transformation.

Will Burns is an experienced Digital Director with experience in Merchandising, Marketing, Trading, UX, Pricing, Availability and Operations. In the past, he has led multi-skills teams across multiple continents. Having been with L'Occitane en Provence for over a year, Will has since moved to McDonald's, where he is Director of Digital Acceleration and Foundational Markets, continuing his passion for smart, efficient digitization and digital solution-finding.
