One thing is always missing from ERP systems: a big sigh of relief. It
won’t come after weeks of debating which vendor’s enterprise resource
planning solution is the best for a company. It won’t come after months—
and possibly years—of implementing it, no matter how long the CFO,
CIO, and everyone who toiled away on the software waited for the
exhale. In many ways, post-implementation—when the system is finally
incorporated within the company and fully up and running—means the
work is just beginning.
