Waterstone Management Group
Hubert Selvanathan is a principal at Waterstone Management Group with more than 17 years of advisory and operating experience in the tech industry. He has worked on a range of business issues including development of organic and acquisition-driven growth strategies, transformation of perpetual license-based business models to subscription-based models, launch of cloud and managed services offerings, and improvement of professional services and customer support operating models. His work with technology providers span enterprise and consumer software, equipment, devices, information services and technology services companies ranging in size from early stage start-ups to Fortune 50 firms. Prior to Waterstone, Hubert co-founded a Software-as-a-Service start-up based in the SF bay area, where he had dual responsibility for product management and strategic alliances. He led three product lines and drove strategic partnerships with large, scaled ISVs that collectively contributed to +75% of the firm’s revenues over a five year period. Earlier in his career, Hubert was with Sapient where he led IT strategy and software application development engagements for Fortune 500 firms. He was part of the early stage team that helped seed and grow offices in three geographies, launch offshore development centers, and build new practice areas around application maintenance and packaged-software implementations. He was an integral part of Sapient’s growth story in scaling and diversifying from a $50M systems-integration firm to $500M (revenue) digital marketing and technology firm. Hubert holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Telecommunications from the University of Pondicherry, India. He is based in the San Francisco bay area, and has lived and/or worked in Asia, Africa and the US.
