Dr. Aldin Velic has over twelve years of experience managing high performance teams in operations, sales and marketing. Direct experience in strategy development, planning and execution, working in both P/E backed and publicly traded organizations. Diverse background starting in operations, and then sales - with an emphasis on consultative sales and solution development. Dr. Velic's doctoral research is a interdisciplinary study between finance, strategy and supply chain - and addresses the relationship between industry clockspeed and blue ocean strategy. More succinctly, it deals with showing the correlation blue ocean strategy products time spent in uncontested market space and the effect industry clockspeed (fast or slow) has on the time and value these products are uncontested. The study utilizes the event study methodologies market model to observe abnormal stock returns and to measure the effects on organizational value as a result of properly investigating an industry where a competitive advantage can be sustained for a longer period of time.
