Snap has launched the Lens Creative Partner program which aims to help developers and agencies which utilize its Lens Studio augmented reality (AR) developer tool, find brands looking to create AR product placements.
According to Snap, Lens Studio – which it launched just over a year ago – is the "most used augmented reality platform in the world", with 70 million people using the "Lenses" function on Snapchat daily. This has made it very appealing to brands who want to utilize the relatively new medium to create extremely personalized advertising experiences for users.

As of the launch, the program has so far certified 30 developers. Elaborating In a blog post regarding the new program, Snap said: "Today we are announcing the launch of a Lens Creative Partners program specific to building AR Lenses for brands. This group of certified creators spans large agencies and expert individuals who have been building engaging and immersive AR Lenses for Snap.
"To be certified, creators had to be experienced in developing quality AR and complete a rigorous course about the development process, creative best practices, and policies and buy models of sponsored AR Lenses on Snapchat."
