Huawei has debuted the OceanConnect Internet of Vehicles (IoV) platform in Hanover, Germany. The system will aim to help facilitate automobile manufacturers to enable intelligent and connected vehicles.
Huawei's OceanConnect IoV platform uses four key enablers to induce this transformation. The connectivity enabler allows millions of concurrent connections to occur both securely and reliably; its data enabler creates a 'digital twin' of the vehicle in the cloud, enabling data on the vehicle conditions to be collected and analyzed; the ecosystem enabler allows manufacturers to control digital assets and incorporate third-party content and; the evolution enabler is to be developed in cooperation with "vehicle-to-everything" which will enable it to communicate with other vehicles and its environment.
