A recent MarketsandMarkets report has forecasted the end-user computing (EUC) market to increase between 2018–23 from $6.11bn to $11.17bn at a CAGR rate of 12.8%.
According to the research firm behind the forecast, the market's growth will be because of a result of increasing demand for mobility solutions that enhance employee productivity and efficiency within organizations.
The report estimates that North America will account for the largest market size within the global EUC market in 2018, with the Asia-Pacific region set to be the fastest growing region throughout the forecast period.

"With the proliferation of mobile devices and bring-your-own-device (BYOD) trend, enterprises are looking for technologies and methods that can tap digital opportunities and EUC solutions are proving to be a viable option to achieve this purpose in these regions," the report stated.
The report divided EUC into different components which included virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI); unified communication; device management; and software asset management. From the segmentation, the report revealed that VDI is predicted to be the main driver for EUC market growth and outlined that large-scale adoption can be achieved by employing "cost reductions on hardware infrastructure, increased efficiency of employees and the capability to support workforce on any device".
