French IT services Atos, together with the Google Cloud, has launched an AI lab in London which will offer AI solutions for businesses and public-sector organizations across Europe.
The launch of the AI hub follows an announcement in April of the global partnership between the two companies, which is attempting to offer enterprise customers secure hybrid cloud, data analytics, machine-learning and digital workplace solutions.
In addition to the London lab, Atos has plans in place to launch two more labs in Paris, France, and Dallas in the US state of Texas.
Of the partnership, Atos named Google Cloud its preferred public cloud provider and will leverage Google Cloud's AI capabilities, infrastructure, machine-learning and collaboration tools in its AI labs.

UK minister for digital and creative industries, Margot James MP, who attended the launch ceremony, said: "The UK is leading the way when it comes to expertise in AI and the new Atos labs will help to develop this exciting area of technology further.
"Through our modern industrial strategy and near £1 bn ($1.3bn) sector deal, we’re putting AI at the forefront of our plans to make the UK the best place in the world to start and grow a digital business," she added.
Atos CEO of UK and Ireland, Adrian Gregory, said that with the integration of Google Cloud and Atos technology "organizations will have access to compelling solutions acting as a springboard to growth in an evolving, digitally focused marketplace".
"The opening of this first AI Lab marks a new era in enterprise transformation and opportunity," Gregory commented.
