Manage your Instagram account in under 5 minutes per week

If you are running a fashion or food SEO blog, one of the things you want to do is cross-post your pictorial content to your Instagram profile. Posting manually is tedious, so you need some tools to help you with this. Before you start, you will first need an Instagram business profile.

You will also need to link this profile to a relevant Facebook page. All this should take you no more than a few minutes. Once complete, pick one of the tools below to connect to your Instagram account to help you in scheduling and publishing posts.

1. Later

Later provides a visual way of planning your Instagram posts. The dashboard has a calendar on which you can drag photos from your desktop to the specific day you want the post published. This format offers a visual storyboard of what your posts will look like over the course of a month. To get started with Later, you will need to sign up with your Instagram profile. Once signed up, you will be set up with direct posting from the onset. Other social media profiles the tool supports are Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.

2. Buffer

Buffer offers a wide array of social media posting options including direct posting, scheduling and suggested posts to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Google Plus. To get started with Buffer, you will need to sign up using one of your social profiles. Once signed up, you can use the platform free for up to three social media profiles. If you want to post exclusively to Instagram, you can do this, but you will have a limit of 10 posts scheduled on the free option of the service. Paid options start at $15 per month.

3. Zoho Social

Zoho has been known to serve enterprise customers primarily. However, Zoho Social can be used by individuals who want to post content to their Instagram profile quickly and easily. The unpaid plan allows for posting to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus and LinkedIn. The unpaid plan is also limited to only one profile for each social platform. The platform supports direct posting although you will need to enable this in the settings.

4. HootSuite

HootSuite is a social media scheduling and posting platform that allows you to post to up to three social media profiles on the free option. This option also supports a maximum of thirty scheduled posts per profile. The platform supports posting to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and LinkedIn. To get started, sign up with your Instagram account and enable direct posting. You will then have the option of adding other social media profiles.

5. Sendible

Sendible is a marketing automation platform that allows you to post content to Instagram and a host of other platforms. These include Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Google Plus, YouTube, and Blogger. Sendible does not offer a free plan with plans starting at $29 per month.

Scheduling and posting content directly to Instagram using one of these tools can save you time and help you build momentum in your marketing campaign. To make the most of these tools, create content weekly and schedule the posts, so your audience is consistently engaged.
